Dr. Geronimo Firebrain is the King of Magnetic, though he does not rule it.

Born Hieronymous Feuerstern in 1034 and then again 1572, Dr. F. founded Magnetic as an alchemical indexing foundation at the tender age of 401, and then again when he was 17. Run continuously by the devout since, Magnetic presently (among other things) turns out recorded music upon an unsuspecting and sometimes unsympathetic public.

The principles involved in the structure of the foundation are lost on just about everyone within it, yet it miraculously continues.

Dr.F is responsible for sounds too esoterically rarified to be heard by anyone but himself.
